Transitional Housing Program

SCI Transitional Housing Program, called "New Beginnings", is a program designed to support vulnerable young men (18 - 23 years old) by providing housing/shelter and hope for the future. The program empowers young men who have aged-out of foster care or struggling with homelessness, to develop into responsible individuals who can build better futures for themselves, their families, and their communities.

We not only provide shelter, but also the vital help to assist our clients with getting government-issued ID's, social security cards, birth certificates and transcripts.  We also assist our clients with the necessary help to complete school or to enroll in higher educational opportunities.  On the vocational side, we assist our clients with resume creation to expedite their employment prospects.  At our twice/month house meetings, we provide a biblical foundation, life skills such as conflict resolution, the importance of goal setting, career development, managing a budget and much more.  In addition, we provide professional counseling services to our clients to help them process their past while learning valuable coping skills for their present and future.

In addition to providing housing, Shine Community Impact’s Transitional Housing Program offers free emotional, mental health and spiritual resources to assist them in well-rounded growth.

The program is designed to be a 12-month commitment, with the option to extend based on individual progress.
